Jokes aside, luckily for me, I live in a country where torrenting isn't illegal at all and frankly, everyone working for the public sector is too incompetent to do anything about it, even if it were. For example, I know a guy who was taken for investigation cause something dodgy happened from his IP (he hosted a tor exit node) and the investigators had their brains blown when he showed them that tor exit nodes were public information cause they had no idea. At that moment he said "guys, are my taxes seriously going towards your salaries?". At that point they just gave up and send him off.
